I'm not sure about this run. On one hand it felt really good to get a long run in. This was my longest run in over 10 months. On the other hand, I'm not sure if I'm cut out to be a long distance runner. The first five miles were pretty rough. I was trying to keep my pace around 7:55, and when I go that slow, my shins and knees start barking at me. When I speed up to <7:45, all the pain subsides. I guess I could just try going faster, but I'm pretty sure I need those 8 minutes miles if I'm ever going to finish a marathon.
So I don't know how I feel, this run was supposed to be a litmus test to decide if I'm going to start training for the Kansas City marathon on October 17th, but I feel just as ambiguous about it as I did before the run.
